Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School (TIGHS)

The Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School and Sixth Form College in Blackburn is an 800 place 11-18 girls’ secondary school, which includes a 200 place sixth form. It is a specialist humanities school. Like all Tauheedul schools, it also has “Leadership” as a specialism.

TIGHS was Tauheedul’s first school and has a strong history of excellence in every aspect of school life, recently achieving Ofsted “outstanding” for the third consecutive time. In school league tables in January 2014, TIGHS ranked extremely highly on a range of attainment measures including being the top school nationally for progress made by students from disadvantaged backgrounds and for progress made by its most able learners.
