TET School Twinning Programme
TET is focused on providing access to educational excellence for children and young people who live in some of the most deprived areas of our country. All of our schools are working to improve social mobility and transform the life chances of young people and enable them to secure places at the best universities, access the ambitious careers of their choice and contribute to the regeneration and revitalisation of their local towns, cities and communities.
In addition to this, we want our young men and women to learn from, with and about people of all cultures and backgrounds. We believe that this diversity will support their personal development and enable our pupils to grow into well rounded leaders with resilience, empathy for all and a strong sense of belonging. To achieve this, our twinning programme brings schools from contrasting communities together in a professional partnership of teachers, leaders and pupils. The partnered schools work together to explore common interests, promote fundamental British values and character education and develop activities to serve the TET STAR values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition and Respect.
The TET School Twinning Programme is the catalyst that brings these important priorities together – providing opportunities for children, young people, staff and parents to develop core leadership virtues and competences and an appreciation for cultural and faith diversity.
Each school takes a personalised approach to twinning, selecting projects and themes that enable their learners and professionals to learn from their peers in the partner school. Projects across our schools cover the following areas:
- Student voice
- Community service and social action
